OUTLINE: This course is an introduction to toric algebraic geometry. It starts with some basic notions: cones, fans, polytopes,  toric varieties, toric morphisms, divisors,... and continues with some more advanced topics such as sheaf cohomology, intersection theory,... and if time allows ends with generalizations to toric DM stacks, and applications to mirror symmetry.
