This is your first programming assignment. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to modify the code provided to you so that the program outputs the string:
Note that the string must match exactly for the assignment to be successful.
Since this is your first exercise in eclipse, here is what you will have to do:
Switch to the "CVS Repository Exploring" perspective, and click on the triangle next to the repository name, then on the triangle next to the word "HEAD". You should now see a folder named "Project0".
Right click on "Project0" and select the option "Check Out". After a couple dialogs you should now have a folder called "Project 0" in your work space.
Now switch to the Java Perspective, where you should be able to see a file named HelloWorld.java within the folder "Project0". This is the file that you have to modify to complete the project.
Once you think you have successfully completed your project, if you right click on the "Project0" folder within the left bar of the Java perspective you will find an entry "Submit Project". Selecting it will submit your project.
A more detailed set of instructions is available here: http://www.cs.umd.edu/eclipse/manage.html#overview
To check that your project was submitted correctly, go to http://submit.cs.umd.edu and log in with your directory ID and password. You will be able to see your project and whether it passed the public tests. You can also attempt a release test by clicking on the link "perform release". You don't need to worry about what these tests mean for now.
Please take this opportunity to also play a bit with eclipse. As you modify the code in the Java perspective you can run it to see what it does by clicking on the green button with a white triangle within it.
